Abstract:
Based upon examples and case studies, the authors assert that it is time to shift the balance of efforts in using the mass media from individual change to social change, from promoting health information to promoting health policies and from giving people a message about their personal health to giving communities a voice in defining and acting on public health issues.Keywords: Health Promotion; Mass Media; Health Education; Media Advocacy
