Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to discuss the non-associative side of a celebrated theorem of C. E. Rickart asserting the automatic continuity of dense range homomorphisms from complete normed associative algebras to complete normed strongly semisimple associative algebras. As the main result, we prove that associativity can be removed in Rickart's theorem whenever the range algebra is Jordan-admissible.Document Type: Research article
