Abstract:

We introduce a notion of absolute irreducibility for finitary skew linear groups consistent with the existing notions for finite-dimensional linear groups, finite-dimensional skew linear groups and finitary linear groups and then prove some relatively strong results about such absolutely irreducible groups.
