setting priorities in low and middle income countries: a global perspective;
resource allocation in Western industrialized countries: advice from countries with limited resources;
access to health resources: a fundamental human right;
the role of international agencies (e.g. WHO, World Bank, Red Cross) in priority setting;
methodological problems in priority setting;
the 10/90 gap: less than 10% of global health research is devoted to diseases or conditions that account for 90% of the global burden of disease.
