Abstract:By the end of 2010, the foreign population in Korea stood at around 1 261 000 persons, an increase of 8% (92 200) compared with the previous year. Foreign residents represented 2.5% of the total population. Citizens of China account for a half of total foreign population, followed by citizens of the United States (127 000) and Vietnamese (103 000).
