Abstract:This report synthesises five years of analytical research conducted under the OECD's Social Outcomes of Learning (SOL) project. The first phase of the project developed a conceptual framework for describing how learning relates to social outcomes. The second phase focused on evaluating empirical evidence in order to identify the pathways through which education is most likely to help improve social outcomes.
