Abstract:
Spain continued to receive significant inflows during 2006 and 2007. According to municipal register statistics, more than 800 000 foreigners moved to Spain in 2006, up 17% over the previous year. The main source countries were Romania (110 000), Bolivia (69 000) and Morocco (60 000). According to registries, there were 4.5 million foreigners in Spain in early 2007, accounting for 10% of the population. The main nationalities were from Morocco (583 000), Romania (527 000), Ecuador (427 000) and the United Kingdom (315 000).Document Type: Review article
