OECD Trade Policy Studies Environmental Requirements and Market Access: Developing an International Standard for "Green" Tourism
Abstract:This chapter provides an example of the strengths and weakness of a private eco‐labelling scheme applied to an industry that is not always well‐versed in environmental practice. The costs, and uncertain benefits, of such a scheme raise significant issues for developing‐country suppliers.
