Allergy to Pistachio Nuts
Abstract:Three patients with adverse food reactions due to pistachio and mango were studied. Specific IgE against these tropical stone fruits of the Anacardiaceae family could be demonstrated, indicating type I allergic reactions. Methods are described to detect these specific antibodies in a reproducible way.
