abstract = "Complex salts of platinum are one of the low molecular weight substances that can induce immediate type I reaginic hypersensitivity reactions. Skin testing with platinum salts may be hazardous. Non-atopic individuals may become sensitized to platinum salts. Sensitivity to complex salts of platinum may necessitate termination of employment in a platinum laboratory or refinery. A case report of platinum sensitivity is presented.",
