Deformation due to various sources in a fibre-reinforced anisotropic generalized thermoelastic medium

Abstract:
The present investigation is concerned with the deformation of a fibre-reinforced, anisotropic, generalized thermoelastic medium subjected to mechanical and thermal sources acting on the plane surface. Close-form solutions for stresses and temperature distribution are derived using Laplace transforms for time and Fourier transforms for space. As an application of the approach concentrated, uniformly distributed, and linearly distributed sources are taken. A numerical inversion technique is applied to obtain the solution in the physical domain. Effects of anisotropy and thermal relaxation are shown graphically on the resulting quantities.Cette étude porte sur la déformation d'un milieu thermoélectrique généralisé, anisotrope et renforcé par des fibres, soumis à des agents (sources) mécaniques et thermiques agissant sur sa surface. Par transformation de Laplace de la variable de temps et de Fourier des variables d'espace, nous avons obtenu des solutions analytiques pour les contraintes et la température dans le milieu. Comme exemple d'utilisation de cette technique, nous considérons diverses sources, concentrée, uniformément distribuée et linéaire. Les transformations inverses sont faites numériquement, afin d'obtenir la solution dans le domaine physique. Nous montrons graphiquement les effets de l'anisotropie et des fibres de renfort sur les quantités calculées.Document Type: Research article
