Founded by Rudolf Smend in 1951. The Zeitschrift für evangelisches Kirchenrecht (ZevKR) deals with all problems of protestant ecclesiastical law and the relation between state and church, mainly in Germany. Articles, book reviews and the decisions by state and church courts treat all fundamental and current practical problems.

Die Zeitschrift für evangelisches Kirchenrecht (ZevKR) behandelt alle Probleme und Aspekte des evangelischen Kirchenrechts und des Staatskirchenrechts, hauptsächlich in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Abhandlungen, Rezensionen und Berichte zur Rechtsprechung der staatlichen und kirchlichen Gerichte befassen sich sowohl mit grundsätzlichen als auch mit aktuellen praktischen Fragen. Die ZevKR erscheint vierteljährlich.
