Abstract:We are well into the new millennium and, surprise, surprise, as the clocks ticked over the world didn't end in nuclear catastrophe, the financial system didn't collapse and there was no panic on the streets. So, was the Y2K bug a sheep in wolf's clothing? The only thing I have noticed is that my car's central locking system now operates entirely on it's own initiative - I don't know if that is a result of the millennium bug or just because I need a new car.
