Abstract:

One of the key aspects of the current turmoil in the telecommunications sector is not simply the fact that both structures and strategies are changing unusually rapidly, but that they are increasingly being determined by the imperatives of the equity and bond markets. This article seeks to explain why this has come about and the consequences for structures and strategies during the rest of the decade.
