Abstract:

Weighs up the Y2K problem and the potential for disaster within it. Contends that authorities everywhere seem anxious to reassure everyone that the problem of Y2K may not be as bad as depicted in the media - though this is clearly untrue and, as a degree of self-deception or misunderstanding, plain disconcerting. Employs a panel to depict some results of a Y2K task force.
