Abstract:

<B>Purpose</B> - The purpose of this paper is to explore the process of recruitment jobs. <B>Design/methodology/approach</B> - The paper takes the form of fictional poem. <B>Findings</B> - The poem observes that the movement from one institution to another is a zero sum game. <B>Originality/value</B> - The poem critiques the tendency of academics to move institutions to get promotion. It is inspired by friends and colleagues of the author in Sydney.
