Abstract:
The positional quality control of cartographic products is usually carried out by procedures based on control points. This can also be developed using linear elements surveyed by kinematic GPS as reference data. Sample design criteria, precautionary elements for field work, GPS observables, data processing methodology, the cost of this alternative and an application example are some of the issues analysed in this paper. Keywords: LINEAR ELEMENTS; QUALITY; EFFICIENCY; POSITIONAL CONTROL; CARTOGRAPHY
