Abstract:
The paper proposes a single-stage comminution process for the generation of concrete powder based on high-velocity water jets impinging a solid surface at supersonic speeds of about 670 m s?1. The powder is generated in a one-stage performance directly through erosion processes at the specimen surfaces. Process efficiency depends upon failure mode. It increases if material failure is dominated by transgranular fracture. Keywords: CONCRETE; WATER JET; SIZE REDUCTION; FINE GRAINED
