More on a Functional Interpretation of the Scraper Plane

Abstract:Recent archaeological and ethnographic investigations in the State of México, México, suggest that the ubiquitous scraper plane was used here principally as a woodworking rather than a fiber extraction device, apparently in contrast to other areas of North America including Southern California and Oaxaca, México.
