Abstract:
In the family Erpodiaceae, three genera, Aulacopilum Wils., Wildia C. Müll & Broth. and the extra-Australian Venturiella C. Müll., are combined with Erpodium (Brid.) C. Müll. thus reducing the family to one genus and the necessary nomenclatural changes have been made. Two taxa are reduced to varietal level: Erpodium australiense I.G. Stone to Erpodium coronatum (W.J. Hook. & Wils.) Mitt. var. australiense (I.G. Stone) I.G. Stone and Aulacopilum trichophyllum Ångstr. ex C. Müll to E. glaucum var. trichophyllum (Ångstr. ex C. Müll.) I.G. Stone. Aulacopilum glaucum Wils., Aulacopilum trichophyllum Ångstr. ex C. Müll. and Erpodium coronatum (W.J. Hook. & Wils.) Mitt. are lectotypified. A new variety, Erpodium beccarii C. Müll ex Vent. var. longicalyptratum I.G. Stone, is described from Queensland. Keys, descriptions and illustrations of Australian members of Erpodiaceae are provided.Document Type: Research Article
