Abstract:

This paper considers estimation of target density functions in 'range-angle' coordinates using two beamforming techniques. The distribution of the target densities in range-angle coordinates is estimated utilizing several transmitted beamforms. It is shown that the estimation of the range-angle density function can be achieved utilizing a phased array as well as utilizing a single sensor and transmitting several beamforms.
