Abstract:
This paper describes the development of a dementia service by sheltered housing provider Sanctuary Group and the Cambridge branch of the Alzheimer's Society. Built up over a number of years, this partnership has allowed synergies to be created, combining resources and skills to deliver substantially more than would be achieved by working separately. The service provides easier access to early intervention and preventative work, and raises awareness about dementia and its management in the community. Keywords: SCHEME MANAGERS; DEMENTIA; HOUSING; SHELTERED; SANCTUARY GROUP; ALZHEIMER'S SOCIETY
