Abstract:Dr. John Jeremy Brigg, M.A., LL.D., J.P., County Alderman of the West Riding County Council, a Vice-President of the Brontë Society and its last founder member, died at Kildwick Hall, near Keighley, on February 1st, 1945, after a short illness. He was 82 years of age, and a twin son of the late Sir John Brigg, who represented Keighley in the House of Commons as a Liberal for many years. He was a Freeman of Keighley.
