Abstract:
On page 430 of the second volume of Mr. Clement Snorter's “The Brontë's—Life and Letters” a list of all the known early unpublished manuscripts of the Brontë children is given. The first entry relates to what is probably the earliest of these, namely, “The Young Men's Magazines.” Mr. Shorter says that these ran to six numbers, and that only four appear to have been preserved. Since the publication of Mr. Snorter's book however, the Brontë Society has fortunately secured another of these tiny magazines, which has been acquired by purchase from a relative of the Rev. A. B. Nicholls.Document Type: Research Article
