Abstract:It may be that this Society has come to a point at which its lines of approach to its special field of study may be somewhat changed. It has done good and useful work towards the illustration of the lives of the Brontë sisters, and certain aspects of the Brontë literature. It has shed light on questions of biography and bibliography, on the question of places, of names and people connected with the stories and with their authors.
