Abstract:

Systemic examination of gas production operators in the southeastern Kara Kum was carried out to reveal the physiological and psychological indices characteristic of different components of the human performance system and labor quality. It was found, in operators of two psychophysiological types, i.e., sensoricognitive and sensorimotor types, these indices varied seasonally (spring and summer) and depending on the working period during a shift. Adaptive changes were found not only in both physiological functions and psychophysiological performance pattern, but also in personality traits, including introversion and extroversion and the level of neuroticism. The empirical data are interpreted in the context of the ergonomic concept of the human performance system.
