Abstract:

The possibility of obtaining attosecond pulse trains during second harmonic generation by high-intensity femtosecond pulses is demonstrated by means of computer simulation. The attosecond pulses are formed at the basic frequency with a low efficiency (≤8%) of the energy conversion from first to second harmonic. The regimes of attosecond pulse generation at the double frequency are considered.
