Abstract:

We have studied conditions admitting the vibrational transport of a piezoelement along a string by means of low-frequency excitation of this piezoelement. Transportation of the piezoelement takes place only in certain regions of the string. The positions of these transport regions correspond to the nodes of standing transverse waves in the string and are determined by the frequencies of excitation and the natural transverse oscillations of the string. The position of the piezoelement on the string can be controlled by smoothly varying the frequency of the applied voltage.
