Green shoots down under
Examines the recent decline of the Labor Party and the rise of The Greens as a challenger for left leadership in Australia. The effect of neoliberal rule on Labor Party ideology and practice has left it exposed to a party active in environmental and community organising and capable of mustering the diverse groups affected by contemporary issues. The advantages of a preferential and proportional system of voting to the rise of The Greens are also noted.
