Syntheses and crystal structures of two new cobalt(II) complexes derived from 3,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-4-amino-1,2,4-triazole

Abstract:

Two different cobalt(II) complexes have been synthesized from room-temperature solution reaction or solvothermal reaction of CoCl2, KSCN, 3,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-4-amino-1,2,4-triazole and MeOH. X-ray crystallography shows that the product obtained at ambient temperature is a mononuclear species, while the product obtained by solvothermal method is a dinuclear complex incorporating an in situ deaminated ligand.
