Abstract:

A method for mass-spectrometric determination of all platinum metals and gold in copper-nickel sulfide ores and commercial products (Norilsk Mining and Dressing Works) is developed. The method, which combines mass spectrometry with the chemical-assay concentration into a nickel matte, ensures a high sensitivity of determination and a high degree of extraction of noble metals.
