Abstract:

At the “Azovstal' Metal-and-Steel Works” Joint-Stock Co. in 1998, an RPS-01 “Kordon” indicator of total neutron and gamma radiation was put into service that was intended for radiation monitoring of raw materials and metal scrap delivered by freight trains for reprocessing. The radiation monitoring makes it possible to take measures to prevent the use of radioactively contaminated raw materials and metal scrap in the production technology.
