Abstract:
Cells of Alcaligenes xylosoxidans containing N-carbamoyl-L-
-amino acid amidohydrolase strictly distinguished the configuration of not only the
-carbon but also the
-carbon of N-carbamoyl-
-methylphenylalanine, and produced threo-l-
-methylphenylalanine specifically from a mixture of the four stereoisomers.
Keywords:
carbamoylase;
