Abstract:

A method that is independent of the model for the distribution of free electrons in the galaxy is proposed for revealing possible oscillations of pulsars in the direction perpendicular to the galactic plane. Oscillations of pulsars in this direction with a half period of approximately 108 years on the scale of characteristic ages are found by this method, which is independent of the distance scale.
