Abstract:

The monitoring of airborne pollen and fungal spores of Lucknow has been achieved using a Rotorod Sampler. 43 types of pollen and 40 types of fungal spores have been recorded over a period of one year (January–December, 1997). Pollen and fungal spore calendars have been constructed. Quantification of the aerospora will help in further understanding aeroallergens and the diagnosis and treatment of various respiratory diseases.
