Abstract:
Ameboma is an uncommon manifestation of amebiasis, occurring in 1.5 percent of cases. It can mimic both carcinoma and inflammatory bowel disease. The first known report of the CT appearance of ameboma is presented. This entity should be considered in any patient with a colon mass, history of travel to an endemic area, and symptoms of amebiasis. Keywords: Amebiasis; Ameboma; Computed tomography
