Abstract:
The demographic time bomb is alive and ticking some 10 years after the initial warnings of its presence began to be sounded. So what have we done about it and how can we reconcile the needs of the emerging society with the environmental challenges that threaten our very existence over the long term? This article explores the issues and challenges the packaging industry to take up the gauntlet.
