Objective: To develop a method for determination of trans-β-farnesene,β-bisabolene,trans-nerolidol and farnesylalcohol in volatile oil of Dalbergia odorfera by gas chromatography. Methods: The sample was determined with capillary column of HP-5MS(30 m×0.25 mm×0.25 μm),and FID detector with the detector temperature at 250 °C.The injector temperature was set at 250 °C,the flow rate was 1.0 mL·min-1;split injection was conducted with split radio of 20:1.Nitrogen was used as carrier gas. Results: trans-β-farnesene,β-bisabolene,trans-nerolidol and farnesylalcohol had good linearity in the ranges of 0.011-0.212 mg·mL-1(r=0.9998),0.011-0.659 mg·mL-1(r=0.9999),0.051-10.200 mg·mL-1(r=0.9996),0.011- 0.222 mg·mL-1(r=0.9998),respectively.The average recoveries(n=9)were 99.5%,98.4%,99.7% and 96.6%,respectively. Conclusion: A rapid, sensitive, accurate and high recovery rate method was developed. This study can provide a scientific basis for the quality control of Dalbergia odorfera.
