Analysis of Flavoniods Extracted from Scutellariabaicalensis Georg by HPLC-MS/MS
To develop an HPLC-MS/MS method for the identification and structural determination of flavonoids extracted from Scutellaria baicalensis Georg.Methods:The extract was subjected to HPLCusing Discovery C18 columnmethanol-water-formic acid(40:60:0.025)as mobile phaseand 335 nm as ultraviolet detection wavelength.A triple-quadrupole tandem mass spectrometer was applied to verify the LC eluate by Q1 scan and product ion scan spectrawhich was operated in the negative ion mode.Result:Four known flavonoids were determined and the possible structures of three unknown flavonoid glycosides were deduced based on the chromatography and MS data.Conclusion:The application of this method could be available and helpful for the rapid discovery and identification of constituents from natural products.
