Introducing Human Rights Education in Latin America Schooling
Abstract:The article reviews the development of political and pedagogical tools to promote human rights education in the region, HRE in school systems today—progresses, shortcomings and gaps. The article focuses on two representative cases: the countries of MERCOSUR (South-American Common Market: Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay), and Guatemala, and policy lessons learned.
