Management of the Dancer's Toenails
Abstract:Toenail disorders are a significant cause of morbidity in the dance population. Many nail problems can be avoided, or easily rectified, by following relatively simple procedures, particularly with respect to nail trimming techniques and shoe fit criteria. Caring teachers and health professionals should educate dancers so they can develop lifelong habits of correct nail maintenance.
