Abstract:
Anticoagulants are high-risk medications due to the complexity of dosing and monitoring these medications. Patient compliance is also key to the safe use of anticoagulants. For this reason, the Joint Commission has approved National Patient Safety Goal 3E, designed to help organizations improve anticoagulant safety.
