Abstract:

Noise can have damaging physiological and psychological effects on individuals receiving care and on the staff providing that care. Excessive noise levels affect different health care departments uniquely and can increase patient stress and anxiety, ultimately reducing patient safety. This article provides tips and strategies for reducing noise levels within an organization.
