HBIPS Core Measure Set Now Required for Certain Freestanding Psychiatric Hospitals
Abstract:This article describes the new requirement for free-standing psychiatric hospitals with ten or more inpatients that are surveyed under the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals: The Official Handbook to submit data on the Hospital Based Inpatient Psychiatric Services (HBIPS) core measure set effective with January 1, 2011 discharges/episodes of care.
