Abstract:
The Joint Commission's National Patient Safety Goal 7, Requirement 7A that became effective January 1, 2008, gives organizations the option of complying with current World Health Organization (WHO) Hand Hygiene Guidelines or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Hand Hygiene Guidelines.This article presents a crosswalk created by Joint Commission Resources to assist organizations with comparing the two sets of guidelines.Document Type: Research article
