Abstract:

This article announces the immediate suspension of the interim action placed on Standard MM.4.10, Element of Performance (EP) 1, for Emergency Departments in hospitals and critical access hospitals. The requirement for Standard MM.4.10, EP 1 will be reinstated as previously written in the 2007 hospital and critical access hospital accreditation manuals. The interim action was originally published in the January 2007 issue of Perspectives.
