Abstract:

To streamline the accreditation process, JCAHO has revised the scoring process for the National Patient Safety Goals. Beginning in January 2004, the goals will be treated as unique Accreditation Participation Requirements and will be scored–in the same manner as a standard–as either "compliant" or "not compliant."
