A Quality Improvement Approach to Reducing Use of Meperidine
Abstract:The authors describe a project to reduce the prescribing and administration of meperidine, which is now discouraged as a first-line agent for most painful conditions, as an example of how a quality improvement process can be used to improve the care and outcomes of patients in pain.
