Abstract:

In today's world of increased violence, organizations are making a greater effort to implement workplace safety policies and adopt preventive measures, such as methods for early detection or training, to make sure their staff members are prepared to respond if an incident occurs. The violence tracer is a program specific tracer identified for behavioral health care, but all health care organizations can benefit from conducting their own violence tracers as a performance improvement strategy. This article looks at how an organization can design and implement processes to address violence and ensure the safety of others.
