Abstract:
Occupational exposure to hazardous drugs can lead to a variety of acute health issues, and exposure is not limited to physicians, nurses, and pharmacists, but to those who maintain the health care environment, including housekeeping, laundry, and environmental services personnel. This article discusses the Joint Commission requirements regarding occupation exposure, and ways to create a process to address and prevent workers from being threatened by contaminated linens.Document Type: Research article
